The tax burden borne by travelers has grown in recent years as governments look for additional revenue streams to help fund initiatives at all levels – local, county state and federal. In order to help our members become more informed about the increasing complexities of travel taxation and the unintended consequences of rising travel costs, U.S. Travel has launched the Travel Tax Institute.

Guided by a steering committee comprised of representatives from all sectors of the industry, the goal of the Travel Tax Institute is to produce thorough research and easily accessible information so that U.S. Travel members are well-equipped for holding policy discussions with lawmakers and in making strategic business decisions.
