Shober Testifies on Promoting National Parks

On April 27, Diane Shober, director, Wyoming Office of Travel and Tourism, testified at a Senate Commerce subcommittee hearing on promoting national parks.  In addition to showcasing the significant role Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks play in Wyoming’s tourism economy, she also noted the significant opportunity presented by the recent passage of the Travel Promotion Act, the critical need for the Corporation for Travel Promotion to receive its startup funding of $10 million, and emphasized the need to provide more reliable and valid data on international inbound visitors.  (Click here for Diane’s remarks.)
