Statement from U.S. Travel Association on Nomination of Robert Harding to Lead Transportation Security Administration

March 9, 2010

WASHINGTON, DC - Following the nomination of Robert Harding to lead the Transportation Security Administration, Roger Dow, president and chief executive officer of the U.S. Travel Association, issued the following statement:

“The travel community applauds President Obama for moving quickly to issue a new nominee to serve as administrator of the Transportation Security Administration.  We urge the U.S. Senate to move quickly to vet General Harding’s qualifications with an eye toward finding a leader for this critical agency as soon as possible.”
