Emerson Hemperley is the former coordinator of public affairs for the U.S. Travel Association. In this role, she directed outreach to advance U.S. Travel’s legislative priorities related to national parks.

Tori Barnes leads the U.S. Travel Association’s government relations team, overseeing the group’s critical policy efforts. These include upgrading America’s air travel infrastructure and improving connectivity nationwide, promoting common-sense policies that effectively balance security and travel facilitation, and protecting Open Skies agreements.

Director, Industry Communications
Sarah Shields serves as the U.S. Travel Association’s director of industry communications. She leads a team responsible for developing communication strategies and messaging that informs and engages the travel industry.

DeLisa Selwitz is director of board and executive operations for the U.S. Travel Association. She manages the association’s tri-annual board of directors meetings, and serves as the liaison to the association’s 160-member governing body.
Former Manager, Grassroots and PAC
Katie Haladay was the manager of grassroots and PAC for the U.S. Travel Association until 2018. In this position, Haladay was responsible for maintaining and improving U.S. Travel’s grassroots program, in order to increase political education and involvement opportunities for both U.S. Travel members and the broader travel industry as a whole.

Olivia Hilton is the director of Research Data Management for the U.S. Travel Association, where she oversees the organization and execution of the association’s research data processes and planning strategies. Her role includes the overall management of ITA (Interactive Travel Analytics), the association’s web based interactive statistical visualization tool designed to assist travel professionals to make better-informed decisions.
