Annliese Scott joined the U.S. Travel Association in October 2013. In her position, she is responsible for defining the marketing vision for U.S. Travel events, membership, and research initiatives by developing and maintaining email, digital, direct mail, video, and social media channels.

Before joining U.S. Travel, Scott worked for three years at LivingSocial. As content and operational manager, she oversaw a National Deals and Shop team that created promotional content for brands like Starbucks, Isaac Mizrahi, and Spanx, while also managing an Escapes editorial team that did the same in partnership with companies like Marriott, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Four Seasons.

During her time at LivingSocial, Scott collaborated with business development and legal teams to forge and maintain an information-sharing relationship with Fodor's Travel, and played a key role in developing “city pages” to drive organic traffic and enhance user experience.

Prior to that, Scott was the assistant editor of Chesapeake Home + Living, a home and garden magazine with a circulation of 60,000+. There, she wrote content, interviewed contributors, and managed freelance writers.

Scott received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Arts from Mount St. Mary’s University, where she served as president of the Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society, Secretary of the Student Government Association, and was the recipient of the Kuderer, an academic scholarship awarded to faculty-chosen essayists. A Maryland native, she loves all things Orioles and can’t resist any menu with blue crab.
