Sherena Elharmell joined U.S. Travel Association in August 2017, bringing with her 12 years of advertising agency experience, seven of which were focused in the destination marketing organizations (DMO) space.
As Account Director, Sponsorship & Advertising, Elharmell is responsible for the print and digital media advertising sales and strategy for IPW, the travel industry’s premier international marketplace and largest generator of travel to the U.S. Elharmell works with members and attendees to maximize their exposure to international audiences leading up to, during and following the event.
Elharmell joins the U.S. Travel team with an agency background in client and account services. As an Account Director at School, a Denver-based creative agency, she managed over $5 million in client business and was responsible for account strategy, business financials and the overall success of her client relationships. She’s also no stranger to travel and tourism, having spent seven years with Miles Partnership working alongside U.S. Travel and many of its member DMOs.
Elharmell is a London native making her home in Denver, Colorado. In her spare time she teaches Pilates, and like to pair fitness with food, wine and travel.
