The Visit U.S. Coalition launched in 2018 to reverse declining U.S. competitiveness for international travel dollars.
The Visit U.S. Coalition represents a broad cross-section of industries that have come together to address the decline in international travelers to the U.S. and the resulting opportunity cost to the U.S. economy and jobs.
While the last several years have seen global travel increase, the U.S. share of the global travel market has declined. Recent Department of Commerce data shows that international visitor spending—a key part of many local economies—decreased in both 2016 and 2017. This decline marks the first consecutive two-year drop in 15 years.
The Visit U.S. Coalition aims is to partner with the Trump administration and Congress to leverage the power of inbound travel to create American jobs and achieve the administration's goal of sustained economic growth.
