U.S. Travel Association's IPW is in full swing driving over $5.5 billion in economic impact in future travel to the U.S. Travel has the unique ability to generate a trade surplus for the American economy, and the business conducted at IPW will play a pivotal role in reestablishing international inbound travel as the leading service export of our nation.
Here are some of the biggest things that happened during Day 3 of U.S. Travel's IPW.
Brand USA Luncheon
During the star-studded luncheon presented by Brand USA, attendees rocked out to a performance by SoCal's own, Dogstar featuring bassist Keanu Reeves. The industry also paid tribute to Chris Thompson and his remarkable 12-year tenure as President and CEO of Brand USA ahead of his retirement later this year.
California Plaza
Visit California's highly anticipated California Plaza is the happening place to be each morning and afternoon featuring dynamic activations, complimentary destination-inspired bites and sips, and celebrity cameos. This dynamic space brings the highlights of the Golden State to life.
Business Appointments
The international travel marketplace came together under one roof. Powerful connections and new partnerships were foraged as nearly 100,000 meetings commenced on the show floor. The business conducted at IPW will help reestablish international inbound travel as our country's Number 1 services export.
