U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Roger Dow today issued the following statement applauding congressional action to renew the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA):
“TRIA is one of those must-do programs, and we are glad Congress got it done.
“Having access to insurance against terror acts is critical for numerous industries to go about their day-to-day business of creating jobs and growing the U.S. economy—travel especially. Congress’s action today is the responsible move to safeguard American businesses and workers.
“We thank leaders in both chambers for passing this measure that will enable the American private sector and workforce to move forward in a more certain economic environment.”
U.S. Travel Association is the national, non-profit organization representing all components of the travel industry.
