On April 7, 2022, the industry came together to celebrate Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID)—an international day of advocacy showcasing the undeniable value that business meetings, trade shows, incentive travel, exhibitions, conferences and conventions bring to people, businesses and communities.

This year's activation broke records—garnering more than 40 million impressions worldwide and reaching more than 8.5 million users across the globe.

In addition, we saw GMID events take place in 30 countries throughout the world—bringing colleagues together to remind them of the benefits of in-person meetings.

A huge THANK YOU to the industry—we couldn’t have done it without you.

This year's theme, Meet Safe, highlighted the ways in which successful, safe meetings are possible and taking place throughout the country—uniting colleagues and reminding them of the importance of face-to-face interaction.

We provided the industry with a full suite of materials to amplify the message, including a Social Media Guide, Sample Press Release, Key Messages document and more. Our resources were used by hundreds of organizations across platforms—demonstrating unity and consistency to millions of users across the globe.
