U.S. Travel Association Executive Vice President for Public Affairs Jonathan Grella issued the following statement on reforming Air Traffic Control:

"Airport infrastructure, not ATC, was specifically noted on election night, inauguration day, and joint session address. The administration and Chairman Shuster have each showed an openness to user fees for infrastructure needs, so our industry holds out hope that localizing PFC cap decisions will end the nearly-two decade funding drought that has led to the president's assessment of our nation's airports. It'd be tone-deaf to continue to treat FAA reauthorization as Christmas for legacy carriers seeking to tighten their grip on the system. Addressing one without the other would be a costly missed opportunity."
