The Travel Economic Impact Calculator (TEIC) is an interactive, easy-to-use tool that shows the direct impact of a change in traveler spending on a destination's economy. It enables users to specify a given change in travel spending and see the resulting economic impact.
The current Destination-level TEIC highlights the economic impact of travel prior to the COVID-19 pandemic (based mostly on 2018 data) and the potential economic effects of changes to that level of spending.
A U.S. Travel login is required for access to the city-level calculator.
A separate, publicly available TEIC offers this data at the state level. That calculator reflects 2019 data.
