Enterprise Holdings, Inc. Receives Travel Honor

The U.S. Travel Association announced that Enterprise Holdings, Inc. is the winner of its 2018 Grassroots Travel Champion Award.

U.S. Travel will present the award today at the association’s Destination Capitol Hill—the travel and tourism industry’s premier legislative fly-in event dedicated to educating policymakers about the power of travel, providing a forum for travel leaders to meet with members of Congress in Washington and showcasing the industry as one of America’s strongest economic sectors.

Enterprise Holdings – the world’s largest car rental company – is being honored for its long history of advocacy work on behalf of the travel industry at the local, state and federal level. The company owns the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands.

"In 2013, Enterprise Holdings hosted our first-ever Travel Talks event, kicking off a proud tradition of our members giving their lawmakers a glimpse into the real-life impact of travel in their states and districts," said U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Roger Dow. "Since then, they have been a constant supporter of our grassroots advocacy.

"Last year, Enterprise went above and beyond by sending local employees to participate in the 15 Travel Talks events U.S. Travel hosted across the country during the August recess. Over the course of the month, Enterprise was represented at each of these roundtables, helping build key relationships with members of Congress.

"These actions have made Enterprise Holdings stand out, and it is very fitting that the company is this year’s Grassroots Travel Champion award winner."
