The monthly Travel Trends Index (TTI) measures the direction and pace of travel volume to and within the United States.
The TTI is generally released on the first Tuesday of each month.
The TTI consists of the Current Travel Index (CTI) and the Leading Travel Index (LTI)—both of which include subcomponents (domestic, international, leisure and business).
- The CTI measures the current direction and pace of monthly person-trips (involving a hotel stay and/or air travel).
- The LTI forecasts the future direction and pace of person-trips over the coming three to six months.
The U.S. Travel Association works closely with Oxford Economics to produce the index using data from trusted resources, including ADARA, Airlines for America, Airlines Reporting Corporation, nSight, and STR.
Historic TTI data can be accessed through the Monthly Subscription of U.S. Travel's Interactive Travel Analytics
